Transition Longfellow Groups

Transition Longfellow members facilitate discussion groups on topics related to transition: sustainability, food resilience, ways to reduce carbon, energy conservation, and more. Groups are free and open to the public. You can join at any time. Child care is not provided but you can bring children with you.

In 2019, we have the following groups:

Planning Meetings

All are welcome to stop in on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm, to plan the activities of Transition Longfellow. If you would like to contribute or just listen in, join us at Moon Palace Books.

Inner Transition Group

Currently this group is discussing the emotional aspects of climate change awareness and potential abrupt climate change. This is not a grief recovery group.

Mending Circle

We are hosting quarterly mending circles, with experienced menders in attendance to help newbies (but you will be doing your own repairs). A sewing machine will be available. Some thread will be available but you may want to buy thread or yarn to match your project(s).

Each quarter we'll post a doodle poll on the facebook group. If you are interested in attending, weigh in on a date that works and we'll pick the most popular date. The next session will be the end of February.

Start A Group!

If you would like to start a group, contact us or come to a Planning Meeting. If it becomes one of Transition Longfellow's offerings, we'll help you find a space to meet and we will advertise the group.
